Mathematical Modeling of Flow in Lower Part of Rjecina River

Abstract

Mathematical model and calculated results of Rjecina estuary flooding are presented in this paper. Mathematical i.e. numerical model is based upon the finite volume method. Time discretization uses Runge-Kutta method of second order and space discretization is based on local Lax-Friedrichs scheme. Problem of tide variation and bridges implementation are successfully comprehended in this model. Obtained results confirm the robustness of presented mathematical model.
